Today I was looking up plastic bin trends for craft organization, and I came across an interesting suggested query by Google: small plastic bins for slime. This surprised me somewhat, because it never would have occurred to me to use plastic containers for slime. But it seems that DIY slime containers are in fact in high demand.

In hindsight, this actually is not surprising at all. Sensory play activities for kids are very important as part of their development, which is something that has of course always been true. But over recent years with the rise of mom blogs, sensory play has become something of a trendy activity in and of itself, and a ton of sensory play activities revolve around creating various kinds of slime and other amusing gooey substances.

Some of these substances can actually hold up quite well for some time if they are stored properly in an airtight container—which brings us around to slime containers for sale.

You do not need anything fancy to store homemade DIY slime. You just need a basic clear plastic bin (square or round) with a lid which can be sealed on tight. This will keep your slime fresh, and will prevent it from drying out too quickly. In some cases, you may be able to freshen it up by just adding a little bit of water now and again. How long the substance you created can be stored before you need to throw it out and make a new batch will depend on the recipe you are using.

So instead of having to make a whole new batch of slime each day that your kids wants to play with it, you will have slime which may keep for days or longer. You can also use the same containers to store other substances you make for sensory play like homemade playdough.

You will discover that plastic containers for slime also have numerous other uses, many of which are great for kids as well. Usually plastic containers for slime are fairly small, so they are good for storing other small objects. Children can use them for storing items they collect, or for organizing supplies which they use in their crafts. You might also find them useful for your own craft storage purposes.

It is also possible that you will find them useful for other sensory play projects and experiments. You might find ways to incorporate them into play directly, or you might just use them to store small objects which you use for different sensory play activities.

So if you do not already have plastic containers for slime, consider investing in a few. They are inexpensive and incredibly versatile. Because they can keep DIY slime and playdough fresh for longer, they reduce the amount of work that you need to do to give your children fun sensory play activities in the future. You’ll also find plenty of other uses for them both now and as your children grow older.
