If you have a home entertainment center or theater, you may not notice how many different gadgets, CDs, and DVDs you are gradually accumulating. Then one day, you may look inside and realize that you have a right mess, and you can no longer find any of the multimedia you are looking for. Remote controls may also go missing in the chaos. It can really be a great investment of your time to organize your home entertainment center. A well-organized home theater allows you to spend your time enjoying your multimedia, instead of searching for it in vain. Here are a few tips to get your home theater in order:

• Get your cables out of the way. Get some Velcro strips to tie them up with. When you get them consolidated, they are easier to push out of the way. Then you can tape them down to the floor so that nobody will trip over them. You may even be able to conceal them from view behind your entertainment center. Use wireless technology when you can to replace cables. The fewer you have, the more organized your theater will appear.

• Get a bin for your remote controls, and put it on the table. This will encourage people to put the remotes back where they found them, instead of allowing them to slip behind couches and under cushions. No more searching for the remote control means less time wasted and more time watching television and films. Remote controls are also less likely to break if they are kept in a safe place.
