Crafting may be your source of income or your source of joy and inspiration, but organization probably isn’t. If you’re passionate about order, you may already have a craft storage solution in place, but if you don’t, then you probably wish there were a better way to organize craft supplies. One way you can consolidate and make life easier is to invest in dividable plastic bins. These craft storage bins should be transparent so that you can see at a glance what each one contains. What are the steps to organizing your crafting room?

You should begin by pulling together all of your supplies in one place so that you can take stock of what you have. Have a look at your inventory and figure out if there are supplies you no longer need. Many crafters accumulate supplies for projects which they were once interested in but no longer wish to pursue. Excess supplies can be donated. There’s no reason to throw them away when someone else could use them. Odds are you’ll benefit from someone else’s excess stock at some point, so consider gifting whatever you don’t want or need anymore. If you don’t want to give them away, think about trading them for a supply which you need. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be able to see how many supplies you have, which will help you figure out how many craft storage compartments you may need and what size to buy.
