Beading is a very fun activity, whether you do it as a hobby, or you do it professionally. Making beautiful jewelry is something that anyone can do with some creativity and patience, and crafting can be very relaxing. It’s hardly relaxing though if you are constantly searching for your supplies, and few crafts include smaller items which are more easily misplaced or lost than beading. Do you constantly misplace seed beads and other tiny items? You can get past these frustrations and on with the fun of jewelry making if you organize your beading supplies.

Plastic bins are some of the most versatile items which you can use to organize your beading area. Plastic bins come in all shapes and sizes, including Individual plastic bins. You can get individual large, medium, and small bins to store beads, stringing supplies, and tools. Clear plastic bins are great because they show you exactly what’s inside. Alternately, you could use color coded plastic bins to sort supplies instead.

Dividable plastic bins. These are excellent because they are all contained in a single unit, which makes them easier to move. You could have a dividable plastic bin for all beads in a certain color, and then put each type of bin in a different divided section. Or you could have a dividable plastic container for each type of bead, and then put a different color in each section. Whatever method of organization is best for you is perfect. Another divided bin could be used to store stringing materials, and so on.

Floor stands. These are ideal for beading because they contain dozens of different bins, all attached to one floor shelf. You can even reconfigure a floor stand to fit your specific needs. Large and small floor stands are available with many bins or just a few. They are clear, so you can immediately see where all your beads are located at a glance.

Carts. What’s even more useful than a floor stand for crafting? A craft cart. Picture the same functionality as a floor stand contained in a smaller unit which you can easily cart around with you on wheels. Once again, this system includes clear bins so you can see your supplies. This is perfect for someone who moves around the house a lot and wants to be able to take their beading workstation everywhere. With this system, you can make your beading area fully portable. This is great if you have kids to look after!

Beading is a lot of fun, but trying to stay neat and organized without a good system is not. Beading supplies can be quite expensive when you add them all together over time, especially considering how many beads you probably need to use on most of your pieces. Save time, money and hassle by organizing your beads in clear plastic bins and purchasing a floor stand or cart.
