Picture a laundry organizer shelf with bins for colors, darks, and whites. You don’t even have to label your bins if you purchase bins which are already colored. You could use white bins for your dirty white clothes, black bins for dirty dark clothes, and a color of your choice for your colors. Plastic bins are some of the most versatile laundry organization products you can buy.

Set up a bin system for outgoing wash as well as incoming wash. Come up with an organizational system for outgoing, clean clothing which will make it easier to put the clothing away when you leave the laundry room. You could have a bin for each person in your household. If you are only doing laundry for yourself (or you have space for more bins), you could consider a bin for socks and underwear, another for tops, another for pants, skirts, and dresses, and so on. Sorting your clothing before you try to put it away saves time even if you don’t have an organizational system. Having bins ready makes it even faster and easier. You can also use the bins to carry your clothing back to your bedroom.
