When you put items in bins, make sure that you put only like items together. One bin should be used for socks while another should be used for stockings. Underwear should go in a different bin, and if you share your closet, the other person using the space should have his or her own bins. You can also purchase smaller plastic bins to use for supplies like makeup and hair accessories, jewelry and other odds and ends. That way they won’t get mixed up with your other items or lost behind things. You can even store smaller bins inside larger bins if you don’t have additional space. At least that way you can keep small items separate, even if you still need to store them in the same space as larger items. It’s a great way to protect delicate items like sunglasses as well which are often damaged when they become crushed underneath clothing.
