The next area of your apartment which you probably will want to tackle is your kitchen. To organize your kitchen, purchase some plastic utensil trays for your drawers. These keep your forks, spoons, knives and assorted cutlery from getting misplaced, and also protect your drawers from moisture when you put the utensils you’ve just washed away. Utensils you use often should go in your topmost drawers. You can then put other utensils like spoons for cooking or can openers down below those. Your pantry can also be sorted using a plastic bin system. This is a good way to store dry goods like flour and salt which you probably have in bulk.

Finally, it’s time to tackle that pile of paperwork. It’s a lot easier to keep clutter from accumulating if you have an orderly and convenient system for storing your receipts, bills and other important documents as they arrive. Invest in a filing cabinet if you can. If you don’t want to get a filing cabinet, at least consider purchasing some more plastic bins with lids. You can label these with what they are, and then store your paperwork in them. If you always put your paperwork away in the right bins or drawers, you won’t build up a pile of clutter.
