Shelves are important for housekeeping cart accessories. You can use the shelves on the cart to store cleaning supplies like rags and cleaning solutions (wood cleaner, glass cleaner, and general cleaner). You also can use shelves to hold linens and towels for changing the sheets on beds and switching out the bathroom towels for fresh, clean ones. A good cart with ample storage space makes it possible for a worker to replenish and clean a number of rooms before needing to return to the supply room to restock.

You also may find housekeeping carts that include integrated holders for vacuum cleaners. This makes it possible to haul around a heavy, awkward supply without causing undue stress since the cart can do the hard work. Assembly may be required for a deluxe cart, but shouldn’t be too challenging with instructions. You may also need to purchase separate accessories such as a vacuum cleaner which fits the holder on the cart, so check the dimensions of any vacuum cleaner you already use against the dimensions of the holder on a cart you’re considering buying.
