Thanksgiving is still more than a month away, so why would you already be thinking about Black Friday shopping? Well, it may feel like we have a while to wait right now, but in a few weeks, you won’t be feeling that way. You’ll be wondering how Black Friday managed to sneak up on you again. Make this year the year you are going to plan out your Black Friday shopping spree in advance!

One great supply which can make your Black Friday shopping spree easier is a set of large plastic containers. There are several ways that you can use these containers during and after your outing:

• Sort your purchases as you buy them. Odds are you’re going to be driving around from store to store, and probably with other family members or friends. If so, you are going to need an easy way to sort your shopping bags before you get home—especially if you are buying gifts for each other, and don’t want anyone to see what you’ve purchased! Assign each member of your shopping team a large storage container in a different color, and put them in the trunk of the car or in any empty seats you might have. Have everyone put their bags inside their own bins when they get in the car. That way no one will get their bags mixed up.

• Use the containers to bring your purchases inside. You might even think about large plastic containers with wheels. This makes it much faster and easier to bring your merchandise into your home or wheel it to another vehicle as needed. Especially consider this if you know you are going to be purchasing large, heavy merchandise like a desktop computer or a widescreen TV. Carrying these items yourself isn’t just taxing; it can also wreak havoc on your back, so give yourself a break!

• Stock up on plastic containers for gift wrap. Set up a gift station in an unused corner of your home and have it ready for when you get back from your Black Friday shopping spree. That way you can transfer your purchases into plastic bins and store them neatly and out of sight until you are ready to wrap them. You can use other plastic bins for your wrapping paper, bows, and embellishments.

• Plastic containers for Thanksgiving leftovers. Not everyone waits until Black Friday to start shopping! A lot of people head out right after dinner—and if you’re in a rush to get in line at your favorite store, odds are good you’re going to have extra leftovers this year. Get some plastic food containers to keep them fresh so you can enjoy them over the coming week!

Black Friday can be a really fun day, but it can also be a pretty overwhelming one. The key to making the most of it, snagging the best deals, and keeping everything organized is to stock up on the right supplies. So get ready with your plastic storage bins, and happy shopping!
