It’s the first month back to school, and while you probably spent a couple of weeks before the school year started trying to get organized, it is common to find that your task is far from done as the school year begins. If you’re looking for back to school tips for teachers to stay organized, you’re in the right place. Here are some classroom organizational ideas which can be useful in elementary school or in secondary school. Some of these tips may also apply to college lab classes.

• Ask your department to provide you with additional classroom furniture if you are lacking shelving and cubby holes. Shelves with medium-sized plastic bins are excellent to use for numerous different purposes. For elementary school students, these bins are perfect for storing book bags and personal items. For elementary or secondary school teachers, these cubbies are also ideal for storing specialized supplies for math or art lessons or other courses that require hands-on learning materials.
